LOS ANGELES - A woman described as a friend of actor Tom Sizemore has been reunited with her family after being missing for several weeks, and is now receiving medical treatment, police reported today.
Megan Lacy Wren, 25, was found by her father in the Westlake area on Friday night and was returned to Riverside County, where she is undergoing unspecified medical treatment, said Detective Carmine Sasso of the Los Angeles Police Department's Missing Persons office.
The missing woman's father, Bill Wren, told ABC7 she lived with Sizemore and had been working as his assistant. TMZ reported that she was the actor's girlfriend, but his publicist said they were only friends and had lived in the same building. Bill Wren told ABC7 his daughter has struggled with drug addiction and was recently hospitalized for a serious staph infection.
On Saturday, Sizemore told TMZ that he was "relieved and happy Megan is safe and sound. It is unfortunate that she did not come forward immediately as this has caused me a lot of concern. However, I am pleased no harm has come to Megan and I wish her and her family the best and I am putting this matter behind me."
