NBC's "The Voice" tops Tuesday ratings

NBC's "The Voice" continued to top Tuesday ratings.
In its fourth week, "The Voice" (9.9 million total viewers, 4.5 rating in adults 18-49 demographic) was the night's top-rated primetime program on broadcast. Though the Mark Burnett-produced competition series did dip 4 percent compared with the previous week, it beat out Fox's "Glee" for another week in a row.

At NBC's upfront presentation earlier this week, the network set "The Voice" with a rich two-hour slot on Mondays for midseason, as a lead-in to the new Steven Spielberg musical drama "Smash."

"The Voice," along with "The Biggest Loser" (7 million, 2.8), up 8 percent, powered NBC for the nightly win in the demo.

CBS' drama block saw drastic improvements for their respective finale episodes. "NCIS" (18.1 million, 3.8), "NCIS: LA" (15.4 million, 3.2) and "The Good Wife" (12.4 million, 2.5) -- which the network revealed on Wednesday would be moved to Sunday nights this fall -- were all up double digits from their season finales last May. The Tiffany network placed second in the demo behind NBC, but was still Tuesday's most-watched, averaging 15.3 million.

ABC was third with a "Dancing With the Stars" (17.7 million, 3.5) results show, which saw Ralph Macchio eliminated, and the season ender of "Body of Proof" (10.5 million, 2.2), both up slightly. At 8 p.m., a recap of "DWTS" (13.4 million, 2.4) was up 14 percent from the previous week. (ABC had pulled "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" because it wasn't performing in the ratings.)

Fox's "Glee" (8.8 million, 3.5), with a death reveal and the buildup to the New York City-set finale, was relatively steady. The season finale of "Raising Hope" (5.5 million, 2.2) improved 10 percent and a last-minute programing move to air recently-canceled comedy "Breaking In" (3.3 million, 1.4) to Fox's comedy block didn't exactly receive enough of a boost it was looking for, only rising 8 percent from the most recent "Traffic Light." In fact, the time slot change caused "Breaking In's" viewership to drop more than 3 million and was down significantly in the demo from its most recent Wednesday performance (1.4 vs. 2.3).

The CW's just-canceled "Hellcats" drew 1.2 million and a 0.5 rating, while veteran drama "One Tree Hill" -- returning for a ninth round -- lured 1.5 million and a 0.7.
