Grammy- and Emmy-winning singer-musician-actor Harry Connick Jr. and Grammy-winning singer Gloria Estefan will be inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame Friday night and then perform at the Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl.
Academy Award-winning actress Hillary Swank will be Connick’s presenter as he is inducted into the Hall of Fame, which was established in 2000.
Oscar- and Emmy-winning actress Dame Helen Mirren will be the host of Opening Night at the Bowl.
The evening will also include a preview of the Cirque du Soleil’s first resident production in Los Angeles, “IRIS — A Journey Through the World of Cinema,” which is scheduled to open July 21 at the Kodak Theatre. Proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Philharmonic and its education programs.
