Harry Potter’ Shatters Weekend Box Office

(THR) Warner Bros.’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 grossed a massive $476 million in its worldwide debut, by far the best showing of all time.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was the previous crown holder at $394 million.

Deathly Hallows 2’s opening overseas clocked in at $307 million, while it earned $168.8 million in North America.

Here are the top five movies of the weekend:

2. “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”: $21.2 million
3. “Horrible Bosses”: $17.6 million
4. “Zookeeper”: $12.3 million
