Clark Gable's Grandson Pleads Not Guilty
The grandson of legendary actor Clark Gable has pleaded not guilty to charges alleging he pointed a laser at an LAPD helicopter last month.
Officers say the light briefly obstructed the vision of the two officers inside the helicopter. Ground units were called and the light was tracked to a small red car that LAPD officers pulled over at Franklin and Highland.
Prosecutors declined to file charges against the driver citing insufficient evidence.
Free on $250,000 bail, Gable is due back in court on September 8, when a hearing will be scheduled to determine if there is enough evidence to require that he stand trial.
If convicted, he could face up to three years in prison.
