Between this weekend and Labor Day, L.A. can expect to find DUI checkpoints all over town. The LAPD announced that they are ramping up efforts to get impaired drivers off the streets.
The effort isn't just happening within the LAPD; there will be DUI Driver’s License Checkpoints, Multi Agency DUI Task Force operations and local Roving DUI patrols during 18 day Summer/Labor Day Campaign.
The LAPD is sharing information about some planned checkpoints this weekend:

-Sobriety Checkpoint - 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Figueroa St and 33st Street in Southwest Area
-Sobriety Checkpoint - 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Glenoaks Blvd and Paxton St in Foothill Area
Saturday, August 20, 2011
-Sobriety Checkpoint - 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Topanga Canyon Blvd and San Jose St in Devonshire Area
-Sobriety Checkpoint - 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunset Blvd and Sutherland St in Northeast Area
Sunday, August 21, 2011
-DUI Saturation Patrol - 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. in Harbor Area
