LOS ANGELES - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County today fell under $4 for the first time since March 24, decreasing 1.2 cents to $3.991.
The 33rd consecutive daily decrease dropped the average price 5.9 cents below what it was one week ago and 29.5 cents lower than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
However, the average price is 92.1 cents higher than one year ago.
The average price has fallen 30 cents since the streak began May 7. It rose 43 times in 45 days before the streak of decreases began.
