NPR's Vivian Schiller Now at NBC

Vivian Schiller, the former president and CEO of National Public Radio, will join NBC News as the head of digital projects, the company announced on Thursday morning.

In March, Schiller was ousted from her NPR post by its board of directors after another NPR executive was caught in a hidden camera video slamming Republicans and the Tea Party.

Schiller has the credentials for the NBC gig, she used to run the New York Times' web site.

The video that led to her ouster at NPR was a set-up by conservative activist James O'Keefe. In the clip, published on O'Keefe's website, Ron Schiller (no relation to Vivian Schiller) tells a fake group of Muslim NPR supporters that the Tea Party was made up of "seriously racist, racist people."
