Viewers had slim pickings on Sunday night for original primetime programming: news magazines or the NBA playoffs.
ABC topped the night with Game 3 of the Miami Heat-Dallas Mavericks NBA Finals game, the night's highest-rated program in primetime. The game, which saw Miami victorious, drew an 11.1 overnight rating -- the second highest-rated Game 3 in the last seven years.
Last night's telecast was up 23 percent compared to its comparable game in 2006, when it drew a 9.0 rating. (Miami and Dallas met in the Finals that year as well.) In the Miami market, the game drew a 32.3 metered market rating, up 33 percent over the game five years ago (24.3).
At 7 p.m., CBS' 60 Minutes delivered 9.4 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic, while NBC's Dateline averaged 3.7 million and a 0.7.
