MARINA DEL REY -- The skies over Marina Del Rey will be dark this Fourth of July after budget issues forced the cancellation of its popular fireworks display.
Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors announced on their website Monday that the annual fireworks show will not be active due to "budget curtailments."
The show has been a popular draw for the seaside community, bringing thousands and snarling traffic near the Fisherman's Wharf tourist stop and channel-area beaches.
