Red Hot Chili Peppers Raise $1M for Silverlake Conservatory

LAist -- Wednesday night the Red Hot Chili Peppers played Club Nokia at L.A. Live and raised $1 million for the Silverlake Conservatory of Music.

The goal of the Conservatory, which opened in 2001, offers affordable private lessons, and for kids in need they offer scholarships and access to instruments at no charge.

Wednesday's fundraiser concert was sold-out, and fully sponsored by Goldenvoice and the STAPLES Center Foundation. The band rocked a 2-hour set. Pics at via losanjealous.

All proceeds go back to the school to fund operational costs and the scholarship program.
