Lionsgate has announced plans to remake Dirty Dancing, the 1987 classic film that starred Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze.
The film company has tapped Kenny Ortega, who choreographed the original's iconic numbers, to direct.
Variety reports that the remake will incorporate songs from the original -- chestnuts like "(I've Had) The Time of My Life," "Hungry Eyes" and "She's Like the Wind" -- plus more classic 1960s songs and new tunes.
