Lady Gaga To Open Video Music Awards!

Lady Gaga - with help from some of her Little Monsters -- announced yesterday that she'll be opening this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Gaga won eight awards at last year's VMAs, the event she famously wore a dress made of meat.

This year, she's up for four awards, including Best Female Video and Best Video With a Message for Born This Way; and Best Art Direction and Best Choreography for Judas.

The MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast on MTV and MTV.com from Los Angeles' Nokia Theater on Sunday, August 28 at 9/8c
