NBC4 Wins Big At The Emmys


NBC4 took 13 awards at last night's local Emmys, including a sweep of all three regularly scheduled newscast categories.

The Governors Award went to FOX11 anchor Christine Devine for her “Wednesday’s Child” work.

Three Haiti stories also won: ABC 7 reporter David Ono and editor and camera operator Jeff McIntyre for their “Return to Haiti” segment, Ono for hard-news reporting from Haiti, and NBC 4 executive producer Rebecca Nieto and reporter Robert Kovacik for “L.A. Heroes: Untold Stories of Haiti.”

Mary Harris of NBC4 won the outstanding news writer award for the fifth consecutive year.

Ana Garcia's team at NBC4 won two Emmys for pieces done while she was still anchoring the 6 p.m. news.
